Volunteering at The Monday Club

The Monday Club is always looking for volunteers to help provide a first class service to members.

The Monday Club is a social based group for adults with Asperger Syndrome.  This group provides its members with a relaxed and fun environment in which they can just be themselves, partaking in one of two activities put on by staff and volunteers.  The Monday club is extremely important to those who belong to it as it gives its members the opportunity to be themselves, socialise and develop self-confidence amongst many other things.  The club runs every Monday between 7 and 9pm at the LCIL Centre, located just outside the city centre.

No experience of Asperger's or Autism is necessary as full training will be provided; if you have an open mind and an understanding nature this is a great opportunity for you.  The Monday Club is hoping to develop a network of volunteers who would be able to accompany a member to allow them to do the things they want to such as go to the cinema or attend music gigs.  Any expenses you incur by accompanying a member on a trip will be reimbursed by the Monday Club, a CRB check will also be provided along with ongoing training.

Please email Holly Beasley if you would like to get involved: MondayVolunteers@gmail.com
